Improving PC Performance Starts with a Little Tweaking

It’s not just computer geeks that push their PC’s to the limit to get more performance. Both home and office computer owners are starting to take notice of the hundreds of applications available that supposedly boost the performance ability of your computer.

Do this programs work? Are they worth a dime? I did some comparison testing to determine which of these products made a difference.

Probably the most well known of all PC utility programs are Registry Cleaners. Sure everyone has a virus scanner and a fire wall but we know what they do, and it’s not boost performance. The job of a registry cleaner is somewhat blurred.

Some websites promote these programs as a one fix all solution to any PC problem from blue screen and DLL errors to slow boot up time. From my testing depending on the program you choose that can be some what true.

I tested Registry Easy, Registry Mechanic and Regcure. There top rated and well known registry repair utilities. What I found was while each program offered similar features they didn’t all perform the same way. One program seemed to do better then another at particular tasks.

I won’t go through the entire details of my testing by you can read this complete review of Reg Cure to get a little more insight into how this program worked, and that same website has reviews of Registry Easy and Registry Mechanic.
